Gandhi Biography
Whites against blacks, Hitler against Jews, Hutu verses Tutsi, Sunni verses Shiites all theses places and people at odds with one another. All at war for the same reason, inequality. Death, despair, and darkness were the results of each of these events in history. As Gandhi said, "Although those who are feared may seem invincible, they will always fall..." History has taught him that the light will always come at the end of the tunnel and the storm will come to an end. In Gandhi's eyes justice will come to all tyrants and murderers, and truth and love have overcome hatred lies.
When the British were controlling India, Gandhi only encouraged to promote peace. Indians did not fight the British, however they continued to enforce violence and the arrests of many indians. The british spewed false promises from their behinds and lied through their teeth every time they said they were negotiating the freedom of India. After a massacre of powerless, weaponless Indians the British finally issued India their independence.
After India gained its independence, there was a war between the muslims and hindus. Massive fights broke out between the two parties, destroying India bit by bit. Gandhi protest this divisive issue by fasting until the people stop fighting. In order to save Gandhi, the Muslims and Hindus pledge to die before killing one another. The tension on the subcontinent is resolved by love. Gandhi lived his life by this quote. His actions involving love and truth defeated tyrants, stopped wars, and gained India its freedom.
